ACTive Encounter, the professional exchange programme of ACT Shanghai Contemporary Theatre Festival, was held in 21-23 Sep 2024. Since the inauIt is a platform for international and local performing arts professionals to meet. Apart from performances/preview in and beyond ACT Shanghai, we will also offer curated visits, discussions, insight sharing and networking opportunities with local artists and colleagues. Focuses of discussions in 2024 included inclusivity and creativity, dramaturgical practice in China and east/south-east Asia, festival making etc.
In 2024, part of the session is in collaboration with Asian Dramaturgs’ Network and Centre 42 with support from the National Arts Council Singapore.
