法国艺术家杰罗姆·贝尔是当代舞蹈史上最重要的编舞家之一，他以“反舞蹈”风格闻名于世，为舞蹈、剧场以至当代艺术带来巨大改变。从早年挑衅性的姿态冲击观众对舞蹈的认知，到近年来持续关注不完美的身体和非传统定义中的舞蹈，他始终在突破“舞蹈应该是什么”的边界，同时也一直在叩问什么是表演，什么是“人”，因此他的作品都能以简洁的形式发人深省，并感人至深。
2021年，贝尔决定回归剧场初心，以毫不矫饰的演讲表演（Lecture Performance） 形式和直白的语言，带来自传性同名作品《杰罗姆·贝尔》，回溯自己三十余年的编舞生涯，以及舞蹈概念的不断演进。它不仅仅是一场以第一人称视角经历当代舞蹈史的珍贵回顾，也是一位编舞大师直面半个世纪创作人生的心路历程。
同时，他选择将这个自传性的表演，交由他在中国最为紧密的合作者，上海的剧场创作者小珂来代替他表演完成。2020年杰罗姆曾与小珂携手共同创作自传体舞蹈剧场《小珂》，并作为她的“替身”在蓬皮杜中心等多个欧洲剧场中表演该作品。此次由小珂代替贝尔在内地首次上演《杰罗姆·贝尔》，见证了中法两位资深剧场创作者之间的长期合作和惺惺相惜。
French choreographer Jérôme Bel is one of the most important choreographers in the history of contemporary dance. His conceptual dance practice has led to an historical change in the fields of dance, theatre, and contemporary art. His innovative and daring performances, presented in a simple and clean manner, have challenged the very definition of convention and the avant-garde. Essentially, all of his works explore the meaning of a performance, and also what it means to be human.
In 2021, Bel returned to his performative roots, presenting the eponymous work Jérôme Bel in the seemingly straightforward format of a lecture performance. True to its name, the piece traces the highs and lows of his three-decade choreographic career as well as his personal journey spanning over fifty years. Audiences not only experience a masterclass in contemporary performance but also witness how an artist confronts, with unflinching honesty, the relationship between his creative practice and his own existence.
小珂
小珂，当代剧场艺术家，其作品探索个人身体在公众语境下的表达极限，曾受邀在欧洲，亚洲多个重要艺术节，舞蹈节及剧场艺术机构进行展演及驻地交流，巡回于20多个国家。2005与张献等艺术家成立独立艺术家联合体组合嬲，并一举夺得2006年瑞士国际戏剧艺术节最高奖ZKB Award。随后以“小珂X子涵”艺术家组合的方式，作品于2014年获得德国魏玛国际艺术节最受观众欢迎奖；同时其引导的身体剧场工作坊，曾参与不同国家艺术节，并与多个艺术机构合作。2018年小珂发起iPANDA民间当代表演艺术交流及分享互助平台，旨在促进中国独立表演艺术领域的内部创作发展，并拓展国际合作的更多可能，建立艺术家－艺术平台机构－跨领域合作资源的多方面整合。

Xiao Ke’s works have been invited and shown in different art, dance festivals and theaters in Europe and Asia. Touring more than 20 countries in different cities, and built-up communication network to introduce China’s independent theater and performance art.
2021, Xiao Ke starts new artwork plan to collaborate with more people involving amateur to join theater creation.
