How do we come together to make decisions that are in the best interest of a civic society? This is a play about individual and collective responsibility by the internationally acclaimed Back to Back Theatre from Australia. Weaving a narrative through human rights, sexual politics, and the projected dominance of artificial intelligence, THE SHADOW WHOSE PREY THE HUNTER BECOMES is a sly theatrical revelation inspired by mistakes, mis-readings, mis-leadings and misunderstanding, SHADOW reminds us that none of us are self-sufficient and all of us are responsible.
背靠背剧团 Back to Back Theatre [澳大利亚/Australia]
2022年戏剧领域的全球大奖国际易卜生奖得主、2024年威尼斯金狮戏剧终身成就奖得主背靠背剧团是澳大利亚在全球范围内最具影响力的剧团。这个创团三十年，大多由神经多样性（neurodivergent）人士组成的剧团，在追求无瑕、顺滑、高效的现代社会，TA们堪称局外人。于是，背靠背剧团的作品也常关心边缘化议题，擅长第一人称的创作和叙事，讨论涉及残疾人性取向、功利主义、人工智能、遗传筛选等议题。
Mala Voadora was founded in 2003 by Jorge Andrade and José Capela, its artistic directors. Jorge Andrade directs most of the shows and often writes the texts. The diversity of mala Voadora's shows also stems from the diversity of national and international artists invited to its projects. Miguel Pereira is a Portuguese choreographer. As a creator, his work has been presented across
Europe, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile and he is regularly invited to teach in composition labs and workshops in Portugal and abroad.
